Tommy's practice has centered around tax law. He has engaged in a wide variety of tax-related matters, including all aspects of executive compensation and severance issues (such as employment agreements, stock options, phantom stock, restricted stock, deferred compensation, life insurance and other benefits), estate planning, employee benefits, general corporate taxation relating to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate combinations and divisions, professional corporations, tax matters relating to real estate such as Section 1031 exchanges and partnership agreements.

  • Advising families concerning wealth transfer and succession planning related to closely-held businesses
  • Represent executives and closely-held and publicly-traded companies in connection with employment matters, including initial employment and severance issues, benefit issues, stock options, restricted stock, and other perquisites
