About Rufus

For more than 35 years, Rufus has concentrated his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, workouts, financial restructuring, commercial finance and commercial litigation. He regularly represents banks, financial institutions, secured asset-based lenders and other parties in bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters both in and out of bankruptcy, including negotiating and closing asset-based loans, debtor-in-possession financing, loan collection and enforcement, purchase and sale of assets of distressed companies and various related transactions. Rufus also has substantial experience in the areas of fraud investigation, asset recovery and commercial litigation relating to financially distressed entities, including service as the court-appointed receiver in the Chapter 11 liquidation of the Enron affiliate in the bankruptcy case of In re NewPower Holdings, Inc., Case No. 3:02 BK-10836 and the representation of the Chapter 11 trustee in the investigation of the Ponzi scheme which lead to the involuntary bankruptcy filing of Greater Ministries International in Tampa, Florida. Rufus is annually recognized as a leading Georgia bankruptcy and restructuring lawyer in Chambers.
