About Anne

Anne is an associate with the firm's Litigation practice group.  Her practice focuses on complex commercial disputes and litigation before federal and state courts, and in arbitration proceedings. Anne represents clients in a variety of commercial litigation contexts, including contract disputes, business torts, financial services litigation, and other business litigation, and has experience in a range of industries including financial services, real estate, space engineering, biofuels, and museums & galleries. Anne was a summer clerk with the Firm in 2013.

Before joining the Firm, Anne served as a law clerk to the Honorable Orinda D. Evans in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. During law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard W. Story, also in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. 

Anne is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where she served on the Georgia Law Review.  While a third-year student, Anne represented indigent defendants in appellate matters as a member of the University of Georgia School of Law Appellate Litigation Clinic.  As part of that practice, Anne drafted opening and reply briefs that were filed in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where she succeeded in obtaining a remand to the district court for her client.  Also during law school, Anne advised Cambodian government officials on best practices in regulating the export of antiquities as an intern to the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  Anne graduated cum laude from Davidson College, where she studied Classics and French.  While at Davidson, she studied abroad with the Davidson Classics Program and the Davidson Semester in Tours, France.

Representative Engagements

  • Represented seller in breach of contract dispute arising from the purchase and sale of 20-story office tower in Atlanta, GA.
  • Represented national bank in suit alleging negligence and conversion.
  • Assisted the Advocacy Committee of the Lawyers’ Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation (LCCHP) in filing an Amicus Brief in support of a Petition for Certiorari in the United States Supreme Court in Schoeps v. Free State of Bavaria, Federal Republic of Germany, Docket No. 15-447.
