Diversity and Inclusion Principles

The firm established a Diversity Committee to raise awareness and focus the firm’s efforts on improving our ability to meet client needs by having diverse teams working on client issues. In addition, we named a Diversity Partner, Kathleen Currey, who oversees our diversity initiatives and works with practice group leaders on our diversity strategy. That strategy is guided by the Firm’s overall diversity plan and three important principles:

  • We believe in having a diverse workforce of highly talented professionals with a demonstrated record of excellent achievement.
  • A diverse workforce enhances our ability to understand and solve the legal issues faced by our clients, ensures that we provide the highest quality of legal services to our clients, and enriches the working environment.
  • In order to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce of attorneys and staff, we must foster an atmosphere of inclusiveness that values and respects our differences.
