The firm's Real Estate Practice Group represented Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis Investors (CBREI), as lead counsel in the acquisition of a group of assets in the ATLANTIC STATIONĀ® project in Atlanta. The acquisition includes the 25-story 271 Seventeenth Street building, home to BB&T's Atlanta headquarters; and approximately 14 acres of developable land within the project. CBREI also acquired Atlantic Town Center, the 586,00-square-foot retail centerpiece of the development, in a joint venture with North American Properties, a Cincinnati-based retail operator.

All of the team members of our Real Estate Practice Group, under the leadership of Partners Ken Kraft and David Heaton, contributed to the acquisition and due diligence process of this complex transaction, which closed December 31, 2010.
