Jay Rankin and Josh Lewis won a $2.2 million summary judgment in favor of one of the Firm's bank clients in a suit filed in the Northern District of Georgia seeking damages for breach of multiple promissory notes and personal guaranties. As a matter of undisputed fact and law, the federal district court rejected the obligors' defenses and counterclaims alleging failure to mitigate damages, breach of an implied duty of good faith and fair dealing and mutual departure from contract terms.
