Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation

Consistent with Parker Hudson’s long-standing support of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s mission, the firm recently expanded its involvement to the Safe Families division which provides assistance to victims of domestic violence and stalking by obtaining temporary protective orders. In April 2014, the firm hosted an AVLF Domestic Violence Project Training, and Parker Hudson attorneys have since represented multiple victims in hearings before the Fulton County Superior Court. In the last month, Ron Coleman, Tiffany Johnson, Megan Hinkle, and Paul Barsness have all successfully obtained twelve-month protective orders for victims of domestic violence. Representing clients in these evidentiary hearings provides much needed assistance to the local community, and also provides valuable negotiation and in-court experiences to the firm’s younger litigators.
