Ron Coleman and Jared Miller recently obtained an affirmance by the Court of Appeals of Georgia of their complete defense verdict at the trial of a medical malpractice claim brought against the firm's clients Quest Diagnostics Incorporated and Quick-Med, Inc. Following an adverse verdict at a prior trial, PHRD was retained after the first trial and obtained a new trial for the firm's clients. In March 2014, PHRD re-tried the case before a jury in the Fulton County Superior Court. The plaintiff sought at least $7 million at trial against PHRD's clients. Following a six-day trial, the jury returned a complete defense verdict in favor of PHRD's clients. PHRD handled the plaintiff's appeal, which resulted in an affirmance of PHRD's trial victory.
