It is with great sadness that Parker Hudson announces the passing of our beloved partner Keith Taylor. Keith clerked with the firm in 2005 as a Summer Associate and then stayed with the firm for his entire professional life, joining the firm full time as an Associate in 2006 and being elected to the Partnership in 2015. During the course of his career, Keith became an integral part of the firm and commercial finance team, with a masterful writing style, a calm and measured voice in difficult negotiations, and a tireless willingness to contribute to client initiatives and firm management. Keith was a wonderful partner, colleague, and friend, and all of our professional lives were enriched by his presence.
Keith’s practice was centered on helping his clients close commercial finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on healthcare finance, a practice he developed with Doug Nail. Keith’s attentive, client-centered, and even-handed approach enabled him to protect his clients’ interests while fostering what often became long-term relationships between lender and borrower institutions.
Keith graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001 and earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2006. In law school, Keith actively participated in extracurricular activities, serving as a member of the editorial staff of the Wake Forest Law Review, as a member of the Moot Court Board, as a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team (2004-2005), and as a member of the National Moot Court Team (2005-2006).
Keith is survived by his wife Katie; two daughters, Charlotte and Lucy; three siblings, Kathryn, Eddy, and Greg, and their respective families; parents-in-law, Lynn and Kim Stoudemire and Garry and Ginny Ferraris; a large extended family; and a wide network of close friends, colleagues, and clients, all of whom will miss him dearly.
