Anna MacFarlane is an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditor Rights practice group, representing creditors, trustees, and corporate clients in commercial litigation and Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy proceedings. As part of her legal practice, she handles commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as representing clients in state and federal appeals.
Anna’s experience and skills include developing case strategy to achieve short- and long-term client objectives, drafting compelling motions and briefs, managing all aspects of discovery, and courtroom advocacy.

- Represented trustee in chapter 7 proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of Texas, achieving favorable outcomes in contested matters, adversary proceedings, settlements, and appeals to the District Court for the Western District of Texas.*
- Represented former corporate director and affiliated individuals and entities against chapter 7 trustee claims for breach of fiduciary duty and fraudulent transfer in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.*
- Represented largest creditor and liquidating trustee as co-plaintiffs in adversary proceeding to unwind web of insider fraudulent transfers arising out of private student lending scheme and the bankruptcy of a community college.*
- Represented defendant-appellee in appeal before Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, obtaining favorable result affirming district court finding of no individual liability under Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.*
