overview
Brian Aton is an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditor Rights practice group where he advises companies and stakeholders in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and enforcement matters. A detail-oriented and skilled attorney, Brian works with clients to understand their issues thoroughly and propose ways to effectively solve those problems.
Brian effectively advocates on behalf of clients in bankruptcy courts across the country, including in California and Georgia. Brian’s focus on bankruptcy and restructuring enables him to guide clients through the complexities of the Bankruptcy Code, whether by participating as a creditor in the main bankruptcy case, prosecuting and defending adversary proceedings, or advising clients on pre-petition workouts and restructuring. Brian has experience representing creditor groups to protect security interests in stalking horse bids, contested valuation hearings, and other bankruptcy proceedings, with a goal of obtaining favorable settlements or denial of sale or confirmation motions.
Prior to joining Parker Hudson, Brian clerked for Judge Jennifer E. Niemann, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of California for two years.
