Overview
Rebecca Nocharli is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice group. Rebecca represents clients in a range of complex litigation matters in state and federal courts and in internal and government investigations. Her practice covers contract, healthcare, employment, bankruptcy, regulatory, and criminal matters, among others. Rebecca’s experience and skills include developing case strategies, managing factual investigations and all aspects of discovery, drafting motions and briefs, preparing for trial, participating in hearings and mediations, and leading successful settlement negotiations.
Rebecca also maintains an active pro bono practice. She has represented individuals seeking asylum before immigration judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She has also handled landlord/tenant matters through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.
Prior to joining Parker Hudson, Rebecca began her legal career at an AmLaw 25 international law firm.
Experience
- Secured an early dismissal of a lawsuit brought by a software vendor against the world's largest home improvement retailer and its affiliates, including its Mexican counterpart.*
- Represented a technology company in a lawsuit against a subcontractor over technology deployment during the construction of an NFL stadium, recovering damages from the subcontractor that designed and developed the system.*
- Represented a consumer reporting agency in over 70 consumer lawsuits alleging violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act in more than 15 U.S. district courts and 2 state courts, from complaint to resolution, including several lawsuits brought by pro se and repeat litigants.*
- Represented company in government investigation; prepared and participated in a presentation to the government and settlement discussions.*
- Represented international company in internal investigation relating to corruption.*
- Advised on a strategic investment matter where a private equity firm invested in a strategic affiliate partner firm.*
- Advised an energy product manufacturer on its sale of the company to a global electrical and digital building infrastructure company.*
- Advised several companies regarding third-party, grand jury, SEC, and FTC subpoenas and coordinated responses to same.*
